E-Commerce

Whilst employed as Head of User Expe­ri­ence at Snow­val­ley, I was for­tu­nate enough to lead the e-commerce site redesign of a well known high street motor­ing brand; Hal­fords.  I worked with a team of peo­ple (from Snow­val­ley, Hal­fords, and another agency) through a user focused design process, that specif­i­cally con­cen­trated on improv­ing the user expe­ri­ence for the vis­i­tors to the site, based on ear­lier usabil­ity stud­ies, and best prac­tice in e-commerce.

The process involved prepar­ing and imple­ment­ing per­sonae, revis­ing the site Infor­ma­tion Archi­tec­ture, cre­at­ing wire-frames to guide the visual layer, and help­ing guide the visual design to its com­ple­tion.  The com­pleted design was then imple­mented by another exter­nal agency.
